Mercedes Parages has always painted, since she was very young, studied Fine Arts and exhibited in galleries. She was selected from 2000 participants for an installation at the Estampa fair. Years later, she decided to apply her technique to weaving: tablecloths, napkins, cushion covers, upholstery, curtains... The project took off just two years ago, but the orders have multiplied. Birds, waders, butterflies, insects, fish, elephants, reeds, flowers are appearing on linen and cotton. "I try to paint nature, for me it is very important and I see it as a way of bringing the countryside closer to the city and our homes".
