Julien et Fils was founded in 1840 at 63, Faubourg de la Poissonerìe, Paris. Suppliers to Tsar Alexander II and other European Royal houses, they received in 1855 the 1st Class Medal in recognition of the quality of their work. In 1889 they ceased their activity but before that they produced this individual tureen with presentation tray and lid in white porcelain decorated in gold and with black edges. Stamped on the base "Julien et Fils". France, 2nd ½ XIX. Measures 27 x 16 x 15 and uses 380 grams of vegetable soy wax and pure cotton wicks. It has arrived from Toulouse. By VNICA
