WHO IS SYBILLA?
I believe I’m a restless and a curious person who likes nice and special things. A stubborn perfectionist. I get very enthusiastic about projects that have a positive impact on the environment and I do my best to support them. I love playing with fabric, textures, colors and making clothes that bring strength and joy to women.
WHAT DO WE EXPECT TO SEE OF SYBILLA IN 2019 ONWARDS?
Some exciting collaborations with artisan co-operatives in a variety of locations all over the world. Also, a limited number of carefully designed pattern garments. All of them from our workshop in Madrid, where we also make tailor-made suits and bridal gowns.
WHAT MAKES YOU FEEL MOST PROUD OF YOURSELF?
All my life experiences and what I’m learning from the challenges that life brings...but above all, my friends and travelling companions.

A change of life, a fresh start, new adventures...
DEFINE YOUR STYLE
I don’t like to be easily pigeonholed, I try to bring contraries together. I define myself better by contrast, merging different aspects that might seem indistinguishable at first glance. Sensibility and sobriety, extravagance and subtlety, humor and elegance. Making the elaborated simple. Uniting the technique with the emotion. I try to create new things but with the weight of classical wisdom. Matching pragmatism and beauty, the surprise with the sobriety. I don’t give up any of these in anything I do and I try to make them coexist harmonically as best as I can.
WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO WORK WITH ES FASCINANTE? WHAT CALLED YOUR ATTENTION?
I believe I can identify myself fully with this fantastic project. A Spanish fashion platform with emphasis on small and craft projects is something that perfectly defines me. On the other hand, I think it’s the best way to reach a bigger audience and the best way to tell stories staying true to ourselves.
HOW WILL YOUR COLLABORATION BE?
We’ll be releasing small collections from our collaboration with different artisans or very special pieces, cherished and handmade in our workshop on demand. I really hope we can also sell our products from our own brand.

A fascinating project: The creation of sewing workshops in different parts of the world, specially those with limited means where it could make a difference and also an incentive for women empowerment. When women come together, something good usually comes out.
A fascinating dream: Officially, scientists have already told the world that we have 12 years left to be able to stop the catastrophic effects of climate change. My dream is that we wake up and quickly react, we need to be able to unite in order to find solutions for the problems that we face today so we can create a better world.
