Romel

Romel, artistic name of Rocío Meléndez Giquel (Madrid,1996) visual artist and photographer. She studied Fine Arts at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid, with a degree in professional photography from EFTI. She left her law career to make a change in her life that was definitive and made her dedicate herself to her passion, art and creativity. She believes that the psychology of colour marks our course in life. That is why colour is the soul of her work. The centre of Madrid, her hometown, is one of her greatest sources of inspiration. "Exploring every corner of it feeds my creativity". She later seeks her peace in her studio in Aravaca on the outskirts of the city. She is currently developing her work through various techniques as she does not close herself off to one in particular.
